Yolanda Chapa Herrera, 79, of Kingsville, TX passed away November 28, 2016 in Corpus Christi, TX.
She was born on November 11, 1937 in Kingsville, TX to Felipe (Enriqueta Salinas) Chapa.
She was a retired teacher's aide for all area schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hector Herrera; one son, Jaime Herrera; two sisters, Benita Saenz and Ludivina Leal; and one brother, Faraon Chapa.
Survivors include one son, Rene H. Herrera of Kingsville; two sisters, Gloria (Filemon) Saldivar of Tuscon, Arizona, and Fita (Frank) Rios of Kingsville; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tues., 11-29-2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Tues., 11-29-2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wed., 11-30-2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church with Father Naul Ordonez officiating.
Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
