Victoria D. Garcia, 76, of Kingsville, Texas, peacefully passed away on October 31, 2024, surrounded by loved ones in her hometown of Kingsville. Born on August 27, 1948, to Hermenegildo and Dora De La Paz, Victoria's life was one marked by faith, dedication, and love for her family, congregation, and community.
A retired dental assistant, Victoria later followed her true calling as the pastor of Templo Ebenezer del Cladic in Premont, Texas, where she devoted herself tirelessly to her ministry. She was a compassionate leader and a cherished spiritual guide, bringing warmth, wisdom, and strength to her congregation. Known for her nurturing spirit, Victoria also found joy in tending her garden, creating beauty around her home, and in the companionship of her beloved pet, Sandy.
Victoria's legacy is a testament to her unwavering faith and hard work. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Teodoro Garcia; her sister, Aurora Hasette; and her brother, Hermenegildo De La Paz Jr.
She leaves behind a devoted family, including her son, Arturo Omar Samaniego of Premont; her daughter, Rebecca Ann Samaniego; seven cherished grandchildren—Justin, Joshua, Joseph, Johnny, Travis, Roque, and Isaac—and fifteen adored great-grandchildren. Victoria is also survived by her brother, Jose Angel De La Paz; her sister, Angelita Arredondo; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever remember her kindness and enduring love.
A visitation to honor Victoria's life will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home in Kingsville. The visitation will continue at Iglesia Ebenezer in Premont, Texas, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the Funeral Service to begin at 1:30 p.m.Burial will follow at Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Falfurrias, Texas.
