Vernon Lee Stone, 73, of Kingsville, TX passed away February 17, 2018 in Kingsville, TX.
He was born on March 30, 1944 to Neodesha, Kansas to Ray and Opal Stone.
He was a U.S. Navy Retired Senior Chief and served in the Vietnam War. He was formerly employed with McDonald Douglas and Boeing Aviation Corporations.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A. Stone; one brother, Donald Stone; and three sisters, Phyllis Ivy, Katherine Stone, and Shirley Cochran.
Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Hale of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Patricia Nelson of Elk River, Minnesota; two sons, Michael Stone of San Diego, California and David Stone of Suffolk, Virginia; two sisters, Judy Roberts, and Joyce Graves; two brothers, Marvin Stone, and Treva Stone; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Fri., 02-23-2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home with Pastor Marcia Kline officiating.
A Graveside Service will be held at a later date in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California.
