Steven K. "Doc" Cameron, 76, of Kingsville, Texas passed away on July 31, 2022, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He was born on December 5, 1945, in Banger, Maine to James Joseph (Bertha) Cameron.
He was a retired U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran. Doc was a former Commander of the American Legion Post 99, a member of the Veterans of Foreign War 40 + 8, T.R.E.A., The Elks Lodge 1926 and the Fleet Reserve Association. Doc was an avid bowler and table tennis player, he competed for the Navy nationally and internationally in table tennis. He was an active volunteer in our community with the local Food Bank, School Meal distribution, the Elks Lodge, and the Kingsville Boxing Club.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Lee Cameron.
Survivors include one son, Steven Cameron Jr. of Kingsville; three brothers, James Cameron Jr. of South Carolina, Tim Cameron of Maine, and Robert Cameron of Florida; one sister, Leontin C. Laflamme of North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews; and his three dogs, especially Peanut.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery with Pastor Oscar J. Cantu officiating.
