Obituary

Silvia Gonzales Garcia, 81, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, in Portland, Texas. She was born on March 1, 1943, in Kingsville to the late Elisandro and Alejandrina Gonzales. Silvia was a woman of unwavering faith, boundless love, and deep devotion to her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and cherished memories.

A talented and dedicated hairdresser, Silvia took great pride in her craft, bringing joy to her clients with her skills and warm personality. Beyond her profession, she found immense joy in gardening, keeping a beautiful and welcoming home, and sharing laughter with loved ones. Her passion for Tejano music and dancing brought light to family gatherings, where she created treasured moments filled with love and joy.

She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a guiding force in the lives of those she held dear. Silvia was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Kingsville, where her spirituality and compassion were evident to all who knew her.

Silvia was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Erlin V. Gonzales.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Jesus S. Garcia of Kingsville; her devoted children, Jesus (Delma) Garcia Jr. and Sylvia I. (Anthony) Boyd, both of Kingsville; her cherished siblings, Yvonne G. (Mike) Ruiz, Jesusita (Robert) Trevino, Elisandro S. (Theresa) Gonzales Jr., and Alfredo (Marydel) Gonzales; her adored grandchildren, Jacoba, Jesus III, Genesis, and Mikaela; and her precious great-grandchildren, Christian Yadier and Cairo Yadiel. She also leaves behind a loving extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
