Silvestre "Chevo" Solis Jr., age 64, of Bishop, Texas, passed away on October 16, 2025, in Kingsville, Texas.

He was born on January 24, 1961, in Kingsville to Silvestre and Maria Solis. Chevo worked as a warehouse delivery man for Texas A&M University–Kingsville and was known for his strong work ethic and kind heart.

A man of deep faith, he was a devoted member of St. James Catholic Church. Chevo cherished spending time with his family and was a passionate fan of all sports. He especially enjoyed watching boxing, WWE, and football.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Silvestre and Maria Solis.

Chevo is survived by his loving wife, Irene B. Solis of Kingsville; two sisters, Bertha Solis and Janie Solis; two brothers, René Solis and Bob Solis; one nephew, Noah Solis; and one great-nephew, Gianni Solis, all of Bishop, Texas. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the same location, officiated by Pastor David Garcia of Simple Truth Fellowship. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
