San Juana De La Rosa Loera, age 87, a cherished resident of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on May 11, 2024, in her hometown.
Born on April 7, 1937, in Mercedes, Texas, San Juana was the beloved daughter of Juan and Maria De La Rosa.
San Juana dedicated her life to her family, finding fulfillment in the role of a devoted homemaker. Her warm presence and unwavering support were a source of comfort and strength to her loved ones. She was a devout member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, where her faith illuminated her path.
San Juana was preceded in death by her son, Juan Jose Loera, along with four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jesus Loera Jr.,her loving sons, Joe Loera and David Loera, her cherished daughter, Mary H. Saldana, her grandchildren, John David, Jacob, Jennifer, Selina, Briana, Lauro, and Mark, and a host of great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that will endure through the generations.
In addition to her family, San Juana leaves behind fond memories in the hearts of her brother, Richard De La Rosa, her sister, Beatrice (Jesse) Ybarra, and a multitude of cousins, nieces, and nephews who admired her deeply.
A visitation to honor San Juana's life will take place on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, where friends and family can pay their respects and share in memories of her life. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., offering prayers and reflections for her peaceful journey.
A Funeral Mass, officiated by Father Paulson, will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, celebrating San Juana's faith and the eternal light she brought into the world. Following the Mass, San Juana will be laid to rest at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery, where she will continue to reside in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
