Sammenta Lee Alvarez, 43, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on March 31, 2026, in her hometown.

She was born on October 15, 1982, in Kingsville, Texas, to Enrique Alvarez III and Norma Alvarez. Throughout her life, Sammenta held various occupations, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment with them.

She was preceded in death by her father, Enrique Alvarez III; her sister, Jennifer Marie Alvarez; and her grandparents, Enrique Alvarez II and Olivia A. Alvarez.

Sammenta is survived by her five children: Olivia M. Gonzalez, Jonathan Ramiro Alvarez-Hinojosa, Lexi Fuentes, Rosalie A. Gonzalez, and Samuel Silva; her two beloved grandchildren, Avia Lee Gutierrez and Brandon Reylee Fuentes; and her siblings, Enrique (Venesa) Alvarez IV and Eugenio G. Alvarez.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, officiated by Father Paulson.

Cremation will take place following the service, with a graveside service to be held at a later date.
