Salvador G. Mendez, 90, a resident of Harlingen, TX passed away July 7, 2016 in Corpus Christi, TX.
He was born on April 5, 1926 in Harlingen, TX to Ramon and Josefa Mendez.
He was a retired truck driver. He was also a U.S. Navy & Army World War II and Korean Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Baudelia Mendez.
Survivors include one son, Jesus (Maria Elena) Mendez of Harlingen; two daughters, Minerva Flores of Corpus Christi, and Ida (John) Mendez-Garcia of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Arturo Mendez of Harlingen, and Federico Mendez of Harlingen; two sisters, Elodia Mendez of Harlingen; Olivia M. Aponte of Fresno, California; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Rosary will be held on Monday, 07-11-2016 at 9:30 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, 07-11-2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church with Father Patrick Higgins officiating.
A Cremation will follow with a private Burial at Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
