Ruben Guajardo Jr, age 60 of Bishop, Tx, passed away on May 12, 2023, and is survived by the love of his life, Yvonne "Bonnie" Guajardo and his 2 sons, JJ (Jennifer) Guajardo and Jeremy (Crystal) Guajardo, granddaughters, Makayla and Iylie Guajardo, brother, Eddie Guajardo and sister, Priscilla Hinojosa along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Eudelia Garza, father Ruben Guajardo Sr, and brother, Danny Guajardo. Ruben was born on July 8, 1962 and had a tremendous love for music and hard work. He was a seasoned drummer with over 40 years behind the kit with bands such as Blind Trust, Last Rite, Hard Knox, Gone South, and Heavy Cruiser.

At the time of his passing, he was a warehouse manager for Brown and Root with 43 years' experience in the construction industry beginning at the early age of 19 years old, with previous long-term positions with Celanese Tech Center and Bay Ltd.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 19, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday May 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Luke officiating. A cremation will follow, and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Ruben will always be remembered for his compassion, generosity, and loving attitude that he displayed towards his family and friends and will forever be missed.
