Ruben Alvarez, 50, passed away on December 18, 2023. Born on December 17, 1973. He brought joy and laughter to the lives of those around him.

Ruben loved barbequing and watching his all-time favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers.

An adventurous soul, Ruben embraced the great outdoors, finding peace in fishing and the challenge of building various projects. Whether crafting something with his hands or casting a line into the water, he found fulfillment in the simple pleasures of life.

Ruben is preceded in death by his father, Jose Maria Loera Jr., sister, Cynthia Loera, and brother, Javier Alvarez. He is survived by a legacy of love and memories carried on by his wife, Rosie Rodriguez, a daughter, Regina Alvarez, and son, Eric Cortez. His mother, Ernestina Alvarez, and sister, Monica Loera, continue to cherish the moments they shared with him.

Additionally, Ruben leaves behind a special extended family, including two nieces, Christy Lee Mendoza, and Daniella Alvarez, and two nephews, Javier Daniel Loera, and Rogelio Jose Mendoza.

Visitation to honor Ruben's memory will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate his life will take place on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Central Baptist Church with Father Servando Torres officiating. Following the service, a burial will be held at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery, where Ruben will find his final resting place.
