Rose Maria Garza, age 90, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, in Richardson, Texas.
She was born in Kingsville, Texas, to Federico Valdez and Alicia Martinez.
Rose dedicated over 30 years of her life to education, touching the lives of countless students through her passion for teaching. Outside of her career, she had a love for traveling and cherished spending time with family, especially gathering around the table to share meals, stories, and laughter.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose Adan Garza Jr. ; Her two brothers Fred Valdez and Francisco Xavier 'Jerry' Valdez; and her sister Maria Carmela Avella.
Rose is survived by her three daughters: Sonya (Rusty) Ramsey of Plano, Sandra Garza of Garland and Annabel Garza of Laredo; her two grandchildren Logan Ramsey and Taylor Ramsey; as well as loving cousins, nieces and nephews who will continue to cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church, officiated by Father Alfredo Villarreal. Burial will take place at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Though she may have departed from this world, Rose's love will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her, guiding them with its enduring warmth and grace. May she rest in eternal peace.
