Rosaena Garza Quintanilla, 89, of Kingsville, Texas passed away on April 22, 2023, in Kingsville, Texas.
She was born on April 8, 1934, in Rios, Texas to Severo and Margarita Garza.
She retired with K.I.S.D. as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, David Garza, and Moises Garza; three sisters, Maria Elva Yarnal, Juanita "Jane" Riley, and Enedina Salazar.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Baldemar H. Quintanilla of Kingsville; one daughter, Emma Jean Q. (Hector) Hernandez of Kingsville; two sons, Baldemar (Norma Meeks) Quintanilla Jr. of Tyler, Abel (Mary) Quintanilla of San Antonio; eight grandchildren, Gina, Andrea, Matthew, Jason, Brianna, Daniel, Aaron, and Aidan; one great-grandson, Noah; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Paulson officiating.
Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
