Rodolfo "Rudy" Flores Galvan, 73, formerly of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on April 22, 2026, in Harlingen, Texas.

He was born on October 13, 1952, in Kingsville, Texas to Fidencio "Pete" Galvan and Alicia Flores Galvan.

Rudy owned and operated RG Plumbing in Kingsville for over 40 years, earning a reputation for his hard work, reliability, and dedication to his family, friends and community. He was also a devoted member of St. Martin's Catholic Church.

Beyond his work, Rudy was a man who truly enjoyed life and the people around him. He loved cooking for others, tailgating, competive BBQing, and took pride in never letting anyone leave hungry. He made the best brisket, charro beans, mollejas, carne guisada, and pan de campo you ever had the pleasure of tasting. You always had a homemade breakfast made fresh, waking you to smells of refried beans, chorizo and egg and coffee. Whether it was sharing a meal, a cup of coffee, or a cold drink, he found joy in bringing people together. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, listening to music, and striking up conversations with anyone he met, quickly turning strangers into friends.

Rudy was a devoted family man who loved wholeheartedly, especially his beloved wife of 52 years. He enjoyed people-watching, sharing stories, and had a signature sense of style, always smelling good and taking pride in how he carried himself. His presence was warm, welcoming, and full of laughter.

He is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Jose Alberto "Joe" (Elaine) Galvan, Edna G. Soto, and Roldan "Baby" Galvan.

Rudy is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Margie M. Galvan of Harlingen; one daughter, Monica Galvan (Eddie) Longoria of Harlingen; two sons, Rudy Omar (Debbie) Galvan of Weatherford, Texas, and Andres (Angel) Galvan of Harlingen; ten grandchildren, Michael, Klarissa, Cristian, Alex, Juel, Gabi, Stella, Lyla, A.J., and Olivia; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Emma Galvan (Roel) De La Paz and Linda Galvan Mendietta, both of Kingsville; two aunts, Fina (Alonzo) Arredondo and Alma Galvan Rodriguez; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church, officiated by Father Alfredo Villarreal. Cremation will take place following the Mass, and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Rudy will be remembered for his kindness, his laughter, and the way he made everyone feel welcome. He never met a stranger, and his ability to connect with others left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the love he gave, the family he built, and the countless lives he touched.
