Obituary

Roberto A. Garcia, 69, of Kingsville, Texas passed away on October 7, 2021 in Kingsville, Texas.
He was born on October 26, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas to Gilberto and Maria Garcia.
He was a retired teacher and maintained a passion for teaching the GED Program. He also had love and appreciation for all genres of music, especially Tejano music. Roberto was the Lead Producer and Songwriter for Show Band USA. He was also a member of The Republic of Texas and was inducted into the Tejano Roots Hall of Fame in 2015.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lauro Garcia.
Roberto is survived by his wife of 50 years, Edna L. Garcia of Kingsville; two daughters, Melissa Ann Garcia of Kingsville, and Laura Lisa Garcia of San Antonio; one son, Robert Anthony Garcia of Portland. He is also survived by two sisters, Yolanda Benavides of Corpus Christi, and Oralia Garcia of Bishop; one brother, Dr. Gilberto Garcia of Sugarland, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 10-12-2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, 10-12-2021 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, 10-13-2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Father Paulson officiating.
Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
