Obituary

Robelin L. Revilla, age 72, a beloved resident of Tivoli, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, in Austin, Texas.

Born on August 23, 1953, in Chapman Ranch, Texas, Robelin was the son of the late Pedro and Juliana Revilla. He was a proud and hardworking man who spent many years as a heavy equipment operator in the surrounding area, where he was known for his dedication, skill, and strong work ethic.

Robelin was the devoted patriarch of his family, a man of deep character and unwavering love. Always ready to help anyone in need, he was a source of strength, wisdom, and support for his family and community.

A man of many talents, Robelin was also a gifted musician. He played the accordion and guitar and was a passionate singer of traditional conjunto music. His love for music brought joy to countless family gatherings and community celebrations. Robelin also enjoyed the outdoors—especially fishing and hunting—and cherished time spent with his family and friends. His happiest moments were surrounded by the laughter and love of those he held dear.

He is preceded in death by his three brothers: Manuel Revilla, Pedro Revilla Jr., and Hector Revilla; and six sisters: Lucinda Anderson, Matilde Alvarado, Blasita Hernandez, Maria "Bessie" Gallardo, and Clara L. Salinas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Socorro "Cory" G. Revilla of Tivoli; his children: Pedro (Cassie) Revilla of Goliad, Robelin "Gordo" (Angie) Revilla Jr. of Tivoli, Richard (Roseanne) Revilla of Tivoli, Blanca "Bambi" (Steven) Dykes of Rockport, and Clara (Robert) Vargas of Victoria. Robelin was a proud grandfather to eleven grandchildren: Jesse, Adam, Alyssa, Peter, Lewis, Aracely, Yesenia, Madalyne, Isaac, Diego, and Steven; and a great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers: Roel Revilla, Mike Revilla, and Jesse Luna; a special nephew, George "Huero" Gallardo Jr.; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, with Father Francis Sebastian officiating.

Burial will follow at Evangelico Cemetery in Bishop, Texas.
Robelin's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
