Rene H. Quintanilla, 67, of Kingsville, TX passed away December 30, 2015 in Kingsville, TX.

He was born on April 9, 1948 in Kingsville, TX to Valentin and Rafaela Quintanilla.

He was a retired fireman with the City of Kingsville, a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and a Purple Heart Recipient. He was also a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Guzmaro Quintanilla.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Cornelia T. Quintanilla of Kingsville; three daughters, Susana (Ken) Jones of Ferrias, TX, Aurora Wood of San Antonio, and Amy C. (Johnny) Soliz of San Antonio; two sons, Jose Enrique (Steve) Rodriguez of Irving, Rene (Lucinda) Quintanilla II of Kingsville; four brothers, Baldemar Quintanilla of Kingsville, Valentin Quintanilla Jr. of California, Ruben Quintanilla of San Antonio, and Rogelio Quintanilla of Oregon; one sister, Zulema Olivarez of Arizona; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Fri., 01-01-2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be Fri., 01-01-2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be Sat., 01-02-2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Romeo Salinas officiating.
Burial will follow at Kingsville Resthaven Cemetery.
