Regulo Barrera, age 84, died peacefully on March 18, 2017, with family by his side.
Regulo was born March 30, 1932, in Kingsville, Texas to the late Ascencio and Julianna Barrera. In November 2007, he married Domingo Gonzalez.
Regulo spent several years working in restaurants and worked at the local slaughter house. He was also a lifelong member of St. Martin Catholic Church.
Regulo is survived by his wife, Dominga Barrera; brothers, Raul (Elvira) and Ascencio Jr. (Angelica) of Kingsville, Ramiro (Angie) of CA, Federico (Oralia) of Corpus Christi; sisters, Rafaela Cisneros, Marcela Garcia, Amelia (Chon) Utley, Julia DeLaRosa, Zulema Gonzalez, Esther Bernal, and Yolanda Vasquez all of Kingsville. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sun., 03-19-2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Sun., 03-19-2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Mon., 03-20-2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church with Father Naul Ordonez officiating and Deacon Raul Rosales assisting.
Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
