Rebecca G. Quintanilla, age 90, of Kingsville, Texas passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, in the presence of her family and caring staff of The Lone Star Ranch Nursing Home.

She was born on May 2, 1934, in Kingsville, Texas to Abraham and Josefina Gonzalez.

Rebecca will always be remembered for her kindness and willingness to care for and help others. She was strong and courageous when she and Lilo set out to go to live in New York to begin their married life. She worked hard and made a new life there by making friends and becoming a member of her new community. Upon retiring from her job, she returned to Kingsville to be close to her beloved sisters and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Josefina Gonzalez; her husband, Eliberto Quintanilla; her brother, Luis Gonzalez; and her sisters, Amalia Gonzalez, Alicia Leal, and Sara Dominguez.

Rebecca is survived by four brothers, Abraham (Amelia) Gonzalez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Manuel (Sulema) Gonzalez of La Porte, Texas, Hector (Andrea) Gonzalez of Richmond, Texas, and Ray Gonzalez of Houston; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church with Father Alfredo Villarreal officiating. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
