Raymond Reyes, 68, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away on July 22, 2026, in Gregory, Texas.

He was born on May 12, 1958, in Kingsville, Texas.

A dedicated culinary talent, he spent years sharing his gifts as a chef in a family restaurant. Cooking was not just his career, but his greatest lifelong passion. He found true joy in bringing people together around the table, using his talents to serve his family and uplift his community whenever an opportunity arose.

He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Florentino Reyes; paternal grandmother, Anita Polanco; maternal grandparents, Juan and Abelia De La Paz; and several aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Virginia P. Reyes of Kingsville; two daughters, Jennifer Reyes of Kingsville, and Lisa (Jose) Garcia of Houston; one son, Raymond F. Reyes of Kingsville; six grandchildren, Jacquelyne, Viviana, J. Eliseo, Olivia, Isabella, and Araya; one great-grandson, James; one brother, Florentino “Butch” (Toni) Reyes of Chicago; two sisters, Betty (Steven) Villanueva, and Patricia (Randy) Hughart, both of San Antonio; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, 07-24-2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, 07-24-2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home with Pastor Jose Angel De La Paz officiating.

Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
