Ramon Rubio Sr., 76, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on December 22, 2024, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Ramon was born on July 21, 1948, in Alice, Texas, to Felix and Evangelina Rubio. He was a retired truck driver with Circle C Vacuum Services, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. A man of many passions, Ramon found joy in Tejano music, often playing his bass guitar and creating melodies that resonated with his love for life. He cherished fishing trips with family, creating lasting memories by the water. An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. Above all, Ramon treasured time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Ramon was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Fantina Flores Rubio, with whom he shared many years of love and companionship.

He is survived by his two sons, Raymond (Jeni) Rubio Jr. of Kingsville and Ruben F. Rubio of Kingsville; his daughter, Lucinda Rubio of Kingsville; seven grandchildren: Jordan, Roman, Jacob, Joseph, Joel, Krystal, and Joshua; and eight great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by two sisters, Gloria Carbajal and Sylvia R. Camacho; five brothers: Rene Rubio, Felix Rubio Jr., Daniel Rubio, Ramiro Rubio, and Arnold Rubio; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who will remember him with love.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary recited at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kingsville Resthaven Cemetery.

Ramon's warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.
