Ramiro Gutierrez Jr., age 78, of Kingsville, Texas passed away August 21, 2025, in Klein, Texas.
He was born on November 21, 1946, in Kingsville, Texas to Ramiro and Hortencia Gutierrez.
Ramiro spent his career as an operator with Celanese Corporation, where he worked for many years before retiring. He was a devoted member of St. Martin's Catholic Church and remained strong in his faith throughout his life.
He had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing, and enjoyed working on projects at the ranch. Ramiro also had a lifelong passion for sports and proudly supported the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros. His happiest moments were spent with family—gathering for barbecues and fish fry's, telling stories, and simply enjoying time together.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Roldan Gutierrez, and Ronaldo "Ronnie" Gutierrez.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ofilia Flores Gutierrez of Kingsville; two daughters, La Verne "Bonnie" Christine (David) Suarez of Corpus Christi, and Ofilia "Ofie" (Jon) Garza of Klein, Texas; one son, Ronaldo Neri "RN" (Yolanda) Gutierrez of Kingsville; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Gage, Maelie, Adrian (Alyssa), Alliyah (Justin), Arissa, Christopher Ryan, Marlee, and Christian; two great-grandchildren, Reid and Ryett; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church with Father Alfredo Villarreal officiating. Burial will take place in Chamberlain Cemetery.
