Norma Linda Marquez Carrales, age 61, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on July 29, 2024. Born on January 18, 1963, in Kingsville, Texas, to Maximino Carrales Sr. and Lydia Carrales Castaneda, Norma lived a life full of love, dedication, and joy.
A retired homemaker, Norma cherished her family deeply and found great joy in family gatherings, where her warm and caring nature always shone. She had a passion for playing loteria, a traditional Mexican game that brought laughter and togetherness to her loved ones. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, she cheered for her team with unwavering enthusiasm. Norma also had a profound love for music, which filled her home with rhythm and harmony.
Norma was preceded in death by her two beloved sons, Martin Marquez Jr. and Juan Silverio Marquez. Despite the profound loss, she continued to be a pillar of strength and compassion for her family.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Martin Marquez Hernandez Sr. of Kingsville; her loving daughter, Maria Dolores (Gilberto) Santos of Kingsville; and her cherished grandchildren, Gilbert, Yesenia, and Nayleah, who brought immense joy to her life. Norma is also survived by her four sisters: Melissa (Jesus) Rosales, Clarissa Carrales, Sylvia Carrales, and Lorenza C. Medeguin, all of Kingsville; and her three brothers: Maximino Carrales of Kingsville, Juan Manuel Carrales of Amarillo, and Rodolfo Carrales of Kingsville. She leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will remember her kindness and generosity.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on the same day at 2:00 p.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church, officiated by Father Alfredo Villarreal. Following the Mass, Norma will be laid to rest at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
