Obituary

Ninfa Ramirez Ruiz, 90, of Kingsville, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on September 15, 2025, in Portland, Texas, surrounded by love and peace.

Born on November 3, 1934, to Eliseo and Josefina Ramirez, Ninfa lived a life rooted in faith, love, and service to others. She dedicated over 30 years to teaching at Kleberg Elementary with Kingsville ISD, where she was beloved by students and colleagues alike. Her passion for education touched countless young lives, many of whom still remember her warmth, wisdom, and encouragement.

Ninfa's faith was the foundation of her life. Above all, she loved the Lord and could often be found worshipping, praying, and quoting scripture. Even in her final days, she recited Psalm 91 by heart— a testament to her lifelong devotion. Her prayers were constant and powerful, and her family knew they were always covered by her love.

Ninfa's greatest joy was spending time with the ones she cherished most. Her face would light up whenever her grandchildren were near, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Whether she was cooking a homemade meal, offering wise words, or simply listening with a loving ear, she was always taking care of her family. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and cherished.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend — she was the heart of her family, a quiet strength, and a constant source of love. Her life was full of grace, and her legacy will live on through the lives she touched so deeply.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Javier Ruiz, and Orlando Ruiz; four brothers, Leonel, Homero, Elio, and Eden; and three sisters, Rosa, Cora, and Lucinda.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Guillermo "Willie" Ruiz of Kingsville; three sons, Guillermo "Billy" Ruiz of Kingsville, Eliseo Omar (Nita) Ruiz of Kingsville, and Ramiro Ruiz of Kingsville; eleven grandchildren, Alma (George), Leticia (Daniel), Javier Jr. (Crystal), Luana, Celina (Jason), Vanessa (Manuel), Gina, Omar Jr., Bryan, Yesenia, and Randy Ramiro; twenty-four great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a very special niece whom she loved like her own, Melissa (Rogelio) Ramirez; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with Religious Service at 7:00 p.m.
