Minnie M. Maldonado, 91, a lifelong resident of Kingsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on May 24, 1933, to Roberto and Paula Mendietta, Minnie grew up with strong family values that shaped her role as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
For 35 years, Minnie worked faithfully as a housekeeper and cook at St. Martin's Catholic Church, where she touched countless lives with her warm spirit and nurturing care. Known for her exceptional cooking, her meals were a blessing to everyone who had the privilege of gathering around her table. Her love for family was at the heart of everything she did, as she made her home a welcoming place for family gatherings filled with laughter, love, and delicious food.
In addition to her dedication to her family and the church, Minnie had a deep affection for her pets, Georgie and Gabby, who brought her great joy and companionship. Her legacy of love, kindness, and service will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

She is survived by her cherished daughter, Linda Maldonado of San Antonio, Texas; two loving sons, Frank (Terri) Maldonado of Pharr, Texas, and Daniel Maldonado of Port Arthur, Texas; two sisters, Tina Munoz of Kingsville, and Eloisa "Locha" (Lee) Moreno of Kerrville, Texas. Minnie was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Jessica, Lilly, D.J., Elizabeth, Lee IV, and Prissy, and a great-grandmother to thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.
