Miguel "Mike" G. Mata, aged 74, of Kingsville, TX, passed away on January 31, 2024.
He was born on March 14, 1949, in Kingsville, Texas, to the late Olegario and Olivia Mata.

Mike dedicated a significant part of his life to a successful career as a truck driver before retiring. Beyond his professional life, he was a lifelong and devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, showcasing his unwavering loyalty to the team.

He is preceded in death by his sisters, Tomasita G. Mata and Beatrice M. Garcia, and his brother, Olegario G. Mata Jr.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Lucia L. Mata, of Kingsville. His memory lives on through his four daughters: Tommie Ann (Steven) DeLeon, Norma (Joe Ely) Carrales, Christina Mata, and Melissa (Aaron) Smith; and three sons: Reynaldo (Diane) Longoria, Juan (Dorina) Longoria, and Eloy (Mary) Longoria. He is also survived by two sisters, Connie (Flo) Martinez and Marta Mata; one brother, Ruben (Margie) Mata; one aunt, Felicidad M. Mejia; nineteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A private Graveside Service will be held at a later date, allowing family and close friends to celebrate Mike's life and say their heartfelt goodbyes.
