Melquiades Velasquez Jr., 75, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away June 30, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He was born on May 12, 1943 in Kingsville, TX to Melquiades and Carmen Velasquez.
He was a retired supply clerk and a U. S. Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Roel Velasquez; and one sister, Adriana Velasquez.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Maria Elma Velasquez of Kingsville; one daughter, Lisa (Steve) Pautzke of Kingsville; three sons, Luis Orlando (Phaedra) Velasquez, Romeo (Lebby) Velasquez of Kingsville, Michael (Daylene) Velasquez of Kingsville; three brothers, Rene Velasquez, Rolando Velasquez, and Pantaleon Velasquez; three sisters, Raquel V. Guajardo, Cristina V. Briseno, and Ida V. Ambriz; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wed., 07-04-2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Wed., 07-04-2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thurs., 07-05-2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church with Father Naul Ordonez officiating and Deacon Raul Rosales assisting.
Burial will follow at Kingsville Resthaven Cemetery.
