Matias Garcia, 63, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away on June 26, 2017 in Kingsville, Texas.
He was born on December 12, 1953 in Kingsville, Texas.
He was formerly employed with King Ranch Inc. in various racing stables in California and New York as a Thoroughbred Jockey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Angel Garcia Sr.; and brother, Jose Angel Garcia Jr.
Survivors include his mother, Nicolasa Q. Garcia of Kingsville; two brothers, Arturo Garcia from Vancouver, Washington, and Juan (Vicki) Garcia of Lexington, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
Following a Cremation, a Funeral Mass will be held on Fri., 07-07-2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church with Father Naul Ordonez officiating and Deacon Raul Rosales assisting.
Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
