Maria S. Pina, age 80, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, in her hometown.
Maria was born on December 29, 1944, in Kingsville, Texas, to Adan and Carolina Perez. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, whose kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew her.
A retired homemaker, Maria found her greatest joy in caring for her family. She loved her coffee, her animal crackers, and had a soft spot for every stray dog or cat that crossed her path. Her home was always a place of comfort — filled with the sound of laughter, and the warmth of unconditional love. She was often heard saying, "That's how the cookie crumbles," a simple reminder of her lighthearted outlook on life.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jesus Perez and Adan Perez Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Marcos (Amy) Pina of Ingleside, and Joe (Veronica) Pina of New Braunfels; five beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Celeste, Alejandra, Masiela, and Marcos IV; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Chamberlain Cemetery.
Maria will be remembered for her generous heart, her strong faith, and the love she shared so freely with all who knew her.
