Maria R. Perez, age 91, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on April 29, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

Maria was born on May 12, 1932, in the King Ranch to Mamerto and Juanita Rosas. She was a devoted homemaker who found fulfillment in nurturing her family and creating a warm and loving home. Her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her through every joy and challenge.

Maria's love knew no bounds, especially when it came to her family. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and values. Her passion for gardening reflected her nurturing spirit, while her love for music, dancing, and singing brought joy to those around her. Maria found beauty in the delicate wings of butterflies, symbolizing transformation and the beauty of life's journey.

In addition to her parents, Maria is preceded in death by her son, Israel R. Perez Jr, three sisters, and two brothers. She is survived by her loving children: Janie Buentello of Kingsville, Maria Salers of Little Rock, Arkansas, Eva Perez of Kingsville, Antonia Perez (Oscar Hernandez) of Kingsville, Irma (David) Flores of Kingsville, Jesus R. Perez, Manuel Perez, and Carlos Perez. Maria also leaves behind twenty-four grandchildren, fifty-eight great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. She is also survived by her sister, Gloria (Lupe) Maldonado, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Maria's life will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church, officiated by Father Alfredo Villarreal.

Maria will be laid to rest at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery, where she will find eternal peace.

Maria's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her love and kindness.
