Maria Imelda Pena, 74, of Kingsville, Texas passed away on April 18, 2023, in McAllen, Texas.
She was born on June 10, 1948, in Kingsville, Texas to Enrique and Rebecca Pena.
She was a retired educator. She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church, The Apostolate of the Cross, and Guadalupanas.
Survivors include one son, Enrique Arce; one godson, Joe David (Alejandra) Bowman; one sister, Lillie J. Bowman; a close cousin, Margaret Maldonado; dear friends, Eva Villanueva, Maria Bertha Romero, Father Francisco Soliz, Father Felix Casares, as well as the sisters from St. Martin's Convent; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church with Father Alfredo Villarreal officiating.
Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
