Maria Elena Ortiz, age 84, a beloved member of the Kingsville community, passed away on February 28, 2025, in Alice, Texas. Born on March 9, 1940, in Kingsville, Texas, Maria lived a life rich in love, faith, and family.

Maria was a retired retail worker for Kroger's Grocery Store. She was a member of King's Way Family Church of Kingsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Ortiz; two brothers, Jose Moreno, and Pedro Moreno.

Survivors include three daughters, Belinda (Jesus) Trevino of San Antonio, Sandra (Arturo) Del Fiero of Orange Grove, and Rachel (Robert) Johnson of Kingsville; two grandsons, Noah Trevino of Belleville, Illinois, and Nicholas Trevino of San Antonio; and numerous brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will then be held at 11:00 a.m. at King's Way Family Church with Pastor Edwin Cann officiating. Interment will follow at Kingsville Resthaven Cemetery.

Following the interment, a luncheon will be held at King's Way Family Church in the small dome.
