Maria G. Mendez, 91, of Kingsville, TX passed away on September 5, 2022, in Kingsville, TX.
She was born on December 30, 1930, in Kingsville, TX to Abraham and Elisa Bazan Garcia.
She was the owner and operator of Rudy's Lounge and a member of St. Martin Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Rodolfo Mendez; and one brother, Arturo Garcia.
Survivors include five daughters, Nilda Dumpit of Kingsville, Sylvia M. (Jacob) Perez of Kingsville, Rachel (Carlos) Cisneros of Kingsville, Ruby (Frank) Lopez of Kingsville, and Roxanne (James) Howell of Cleburne; three sons, Rudy (Anna) Mendez Jr. of Kingsville, Ruben (Jana) Mendez of Kingsville, and Roland (Annabel) Mendez of Austin; four brothers, Jose B. Garcia of Fremont, California, Raul B. Garcia of Mantica, California, Abraham Garcia Jr. of Kingsville, and Ernesto Garcia of Kingsville; four sisters, Teresa Banegas of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Marina Banegas of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Sylvia Diana Rodriguez of League City, Texas, and Olivia (Luis) Fuentes of Kingsville; thirty-one grandchildren; fifty-two great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church with Father Alfredo Villarreal officiating.
Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
