Maria Dolores (Lole) Robles, 77, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on June 28, 1947, in Kingsville, she was the beloved daughter of Benjamin and Maria Torres.
Dolores (Lole) was a woman of quiet strength and enduring wisdom, a devoted homemaker whose life revolved around her unwavering faith, deep rooted love for her family, and steadfast devotion to prayer. A proud and faithful member of St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, she was known to many as a prayer warrior—a woman of profound spiritual strength who carried others through her prayers and presence. Her presence was never loud, yet it spoke volumes. She served as the strong foundation of her family and a guiding light to those blessed to know her, along with her endless helpfulness to others. Dolores (Lole) never raised her voice to teach—but with each memory, and quiet reflection she passed on valuable life lessons deeper than any lecture. Her wisdom wrapped in perspective shaped by time, grit, and grace.
Feisty in the best way, Lole's quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by her family and friends. Her spirit, faith, and enduring love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of fifty-six years, David Robles; her sisters Gracie Torres, Frances Olivarez, and Rosario Chandler; and her brother Luis Torres.
Dolores (Lole) leaves behind a legacy of love and faith through her children: one son, David (Sonia) Robles Jr., and three daughters, Diana (Charles) Shelton, Delma (Jesse) Garcia, and Maria 'Dolly' Robles, all of Kingsville. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to six grandchildren—David Scott (Andrea), Samuel Francisco, Andrew Charles (Jennifer), Jacoba Ashly (Ruben), Jesse III 'L.J.', and Genesis Taylor—and a cherished great-grandmother to five: Kaliyah, Andyn Charles, Christian Yadier, Cairo Yadiel, and Dayva Ariella.
She is also survived by her brothers, Benjamin Torres Jr., Carlos Torres, and Angel Torres; sister, Adelina Robles; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, as well as extended family members, and friends who will continue to honor her memory.
