Maria Amelia Guerra, 82, of Kingsville, TX passed away October 13, 2017 in Kingsville, TX.
She was born on December 23, 1934 in Falfurrias, TX to Enrique and Maria Gutierrez.
She was formerly employed with the King Ranch as a housekeeper. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church and a very active senior at Paloma Home Health. She was loved by all her family, leaving many happy memories.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus M. "Cuate" Guerra; one daughter, Guadalupe G. Guerra (Infant); two brothers, Enrique Gutierrez, and Jose Ignacio Canales; and one sister, Lydia Gutierrez.
Survivors include one son, Jesus Guerra Jr. of Flour Bluff; seven daughters, Maria Guerra of Pasadena, Elisa (Edward) Ramos of Kingsville, Margarita (Fidel) Cantu of Ricardo, Guadalupe Aguinaga (Gary) of San Antonio, Amalia (Andy) Davila of Channelview, Ernestina Guerra of Corpus Christi, and Thelma (Pat) Rodriguez of Harlingen; three sisters, Elisa (Jose) Silguero of Kingsville, Florinda Gutierrez of Kingsville, and Eva Gutierrez of Kingsville; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sun., 10-15-2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Sun., 10-15-2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Mon., 10-16-2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Father Peter Thenan officiating. Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
