Maria Gloria Carrillo, 86, of Kingsville, TX passed away August 12, 2017 in Rosenberg, TX.
She was born on January 20, 1931 in Kingsville to Juan and Angelita Garza.
She was a retired Administrative Assistant at Texas A&M University Kingsville, prior to that she was employed as a police women/dispatcher with the Kingsville Police Department. She was also employed as a teacher aid with several school districts in South Texas. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, a charter member with St. Martins Alter Society, a member of the Red Hat Society Club, and a member of several other social organizations in the Kingsville area. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Paul Carrillo.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda A. (Ken) Rose of Virginia Beach, VA; one son, James A. Carrillo of Rosenberg; one sister, Eglantina "Gante" Barrera of Kingsville; one brother, Juan (Ofelia) Garza Jr. of Kingsville; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
Rosary will be on Tuesday, August 15, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Father Peter Thenan officiating.
A Cremation to be held and a private burial will be held at a later date.
