Maria "Yaya" Reyes Buitron, 100, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on July 4, 2021, in Kingsville, TX where she resided. She was born on December 20, 1920, in Bishop, TX to Teodoro and Eulogia Reyes. Yaya was a caring Catholic who was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Kingsville, TX. Anyone you ask will tell you that Yaya enjoyed helping others in any way she could.

She began working at the early age of 15, holding various professions throughout her lifetime. After retiring, you knew you could find Yaya at the Alianza De Oro Club where she was front and center playing Bingo every week. Her love for Bingo led her to become chairman for many years. She was also a member of the sewing club and St. Martin's Catholic Church. She will fondly be remembered for her love for BINGO and her wit that would keep her friends laughing for hours!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Buitron, one sister, Inez Acuna, four brothers, Guadalupe Reyes, Antonio Reyes, Edwardo Reyes, Rey Reyes, long lifetime partner, Alejandro Arellano, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Yaya loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 8:00 am to 9:00 am at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 9:30 am at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 11:00 am at St. Martin Catholic Church with Father Alfredo Villarreal officiating.
Burial will follow at Kingsville Resthaven Cemetery.
