Maria Elvia Barbour, 85, of Kingsville, TX passed away March 8, 2021 in Houston, TX.
She was born on October 28, 1935 in Kingsville, TX to Jose and Margarita Barbour.
Maria Elvia Barbour was a wonderful daughter, sister, and Godmother. Her attention to detail was important and she always took pride in keeping things organized, in detail and neat. Her Catholic faith drove her WILL to fight her battle.
She graduated from H.M. King High School and business college in Corpus Christi. She was employed by Sells Auto Supply and Texas A&I university.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Christina Lozano, Olivia Basaldua, and Erna Barbour; and two brothers, Oscar Barbour, and Juan Barbour.
Survivors include one sister, Margarita (Luis) Amador Jr. of Kingsville; and several nieces and nephews, Jeannie Zapata, Mary Lozano Jenkins-Asquith, Ovidio Barbour, Debbie Moreno, Glenda Barbour, Graciela Barbour, Gilbardo Basaldua, Melissa Pena, Joe Amador, Leticia Amador, and Carlos Barbour; and one sister-in-law, Alma Barbour.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, 03-11-21 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday, 03-11-21 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, 03-12-21 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin Catholic Church with Father Naul Ordonez officiating.
Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
