Maria Luisa Alvarez Tapia, 84, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away on August 19, 2021 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

She was born on August 19, 1937 to Cayetano and Anastacia Alvarez.

She was a retired homemaker and the beloved matriarch of our family. She was a devoted Christian, and loved the bible verse, Felipenses 1:21 "Porque para mi el vivir es cristo y el morir es ganancia!".

She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers; one son, David Perez; three daughters. Mary Jane Perez Sandoval, Diana Perez and Dolores Perez.

Survivors include five daughters, Virginia (Samuel) Rangel, Blanca Perez Villarreal, Mary Perez (Joe) Garza, Rozie P. (Martin) Davila, and JoAnn (Bernabe) Trevino; three sons, Noe (Cecilia) Perez, Abraham (Maria) Perez, and Jesse Lee (Mayra) Sandoval; twenty-two grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 8-24-2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Religious Service will be held on Tuesday, 8-24-2021 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday with Reverend Blanca E. Villarreal.
Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
