Manuela M. Loera, 88, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, in Kingsville, Texas.
She was born on August 21, 1936, in Salineño, Texas, to Ladislalo and Manuela Muñoz. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Manuela dedicated her life to her family and faith.
A retired homemaker, she was the heart of her home, always ensuring her loved ones were cared for. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, where she found strength in prayer and always kept others in her prayers. Manuela was known for her warm hospitality and the delicious meals she lovingly prepared, which she generously shared with all who knew her. She had a kind and giving spirit, and her greatest joy in life was being surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rene P. Loera; her son, Rene R. Loera Jr.; her grandson, Eric Rene Alaniz; and her daughter-in-law, Marilanda Loera.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Maria Luisa (Lupe) Alaniz, Marta (Servando) Torres, Manuela (Larry) Ruiz, and Magdalena Loera, all of Kingsville; her sons, Reynaldo Loera, Raul (Cindy) Loera, and Rosendo (Mary) Loera, all of Kingsville; two sisters, Natalia Alvarado of Florida and Micaela Rivera of Kingsville; and one brother, Norberto Muñoz of Kentucky. She was a proud grandmother to fourteen grandchildren: Stephen, Rodney, Jessica, Jeremy, Joshua, Xavier, Bianca, Joel, Joe David, Janette, Gabriel, Makayla, and Hanna; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, officiated by Deacon Richard Costley. She will be laid to rest at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
Manuela's love and devotion to her family will forever be remembered. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of faith, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
