Maj. Ret. Hector Lauro Lopez, 82, of Kingsville, TX passed away on January 26, 2017 in Kingsville, TX.
He was born on June 22, 1934 in Kingsville, TX.
He was a retired Military Police U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, and a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Retired Military Officers Association, and a former guitar player in the groups, Alma Latina and Sol Tejano.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Noemi S. Lopez.
Survivors include two sons, Orlando (Elizabeth) Lopez of Fort Worth, and Hector Lauro (Veronica) Lopez Jr. of Kingsville; one daughter, Cindy (Howard) Garig of Conroe; two sisters, Myrthala Garcia and Victoria Tijerina; six grandchildren, Meagan, Orlando Jr., Markus, Andrew, Toni, Nicholas, and Avery; 2 great-grandchildren, Cohen and Myles; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, 01-30-2017, from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Religious Service will be held on Monday, 01-30-2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, 01-31-2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Onwielder and Pastor Servando Torres officiating.
Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
