Lucy E. Tobar Duarte, 86, of Bishop, TX passed away on November 14, 2024, in Kingsville, Texas.

She was born on August 1, 1938, in Bishop, Texas to Severo and Petra Duarte.

She was a retired secretary for Celanese Chemical Plant for many years. She attended Saint James Catholic Church. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and a motherly aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by many friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Jose T. Duarte; her sister, Corina Duarte; two nieces, Nelda Delgado, and Rosemary Gonzalez; and one nephew, Cris DeLeon.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary D. (Florentino†) Morales, and Dolores D. (Agapito†) DeLeon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Francis officiating.
Burial will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery.
