Leonso Canales Jr., 74, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away September 26, 2014 in Kingsville, Texas.
He was born on September 16, 1940 in Kingsville, TX to Leonso and Ofilia Canales.
He was a retired musician and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was world renowned for his coined greeting "Heaven O". He was also owner and operator of Kingsville Flea Market.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonso H. Canales Sr.; brother, Marcos Chapa; and mother, Ofilia C. Canales.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Canales of Salinas, California, and Lee (Gloria) Canales of Kingsville; three daughters, Rosemary Canales of Salinas, California, Lisa Canales of Taft, California, and Brandi (Michael) Cox of Alice; one brother, Arnoldo (Ofelia) Canales of Kingsville; one sister, Mary Lou (Tony) Gonzalez of Ricardo, TX; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Fri., 10-03-2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Fri., 10-03-2014 at 6:30 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Sat., 10-04-2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Servando Torres officiating.
Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
