Obituary

Laura Yolanda Chavez, 83, of Kingsville, TX passed away November 9, 2020 in Kingsville, TX.
She was born on November 28, 1936 in Kingsville, Texas to Brigido and Rosa Salinas.
She was a retired homemaker and formerly employed with Kleberg County Community Action. She was an active volunteer with Kleberg County Senior Citizen center and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Domingo R. Chavez; five brothers, Arturo, Victor, Rolando, and Brigido Jr.; and four sisters, Elda, Soila, Carmen and Genoveva.
Survivors include one daughter, Susana Chavez of Kingsville; four sons, Domingo (Margarita) Chavez Jr. of Kingsville, Arturo (Maria) Chavez of Kingsville, David Chavez of Kingsville, and Santos Chavez of Kingsville; four sisters, Guadalupe, Delia, Edna, and Olga; two brothers, Carlos and Joe Henry; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Fri., 11-13-2020 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Fri., 11-13-2020 at 9:30 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Fri., 11-13-2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Paulson Panakal officiating.
Burial will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
