Jovita V. Alvarez, 75, of Kingsville, TX passed away November 2, 2016 in Sugarland, TX.
She was born on February 15, 1941 in Bishop, TX to Luis and Anastacia Villanueva.
She was formerly employed with Hagar Slacks. She was also formerly an active follower of Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Kingsville, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto Alvarez; one brother, Luis Villanueva Jr.; one son, Ricardo Hernandez; and one daughter, Beatrice Hernandez.
Survivors include one daughter, Sylvia (Joe) Arreano of Cuero; two sons, Daniel Hernandez, and Carlos Hernandez, both of Corpus Christi; one sister, Sulema (Abel) Alvarez of Kingsville; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was on Sat., 11-5-2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Cremation followed and a private Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
