Josefa Vaello Ramirez, age 92, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 in Kingsville, Texas.
She was born on January 20, 1922 in Benavides, Texas to Francisco and Maria Vaello.
She was a retired clerk with Kroger's Grocery Store. She also owned and operated Wuela's Restaurant for numerous years in Kingsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben B. Ramirez; and son, Ruben V. Ramirez Jr.
Survivors include four daughters, Elena (Raul) Rodriguez of Kingsville, Josefa (Homero) Garza of Kingsville, Frances (Gilbert) Trevino of Kingsville, and Bibi Gonzales of Chicago, Illinois; three sons, Elio Ramirez of Kingsville, Rene Ramirez of Kingsville, and Frank (Thelma) Ramirez of Kingsville; one sister, Maria (Gene) Laird of Corpus Christi; one sister-in-law, Emma (Enrique) Garza; twenty-seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tues., June 17, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Tues., June 17, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wed., June 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Martins Catholic Church with Father Naul Ordonez officiating.
Burial will be followed at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
