Josefa C. Gomez, age 72, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away Mon., October 14, 2013 in
Corpus Christi, TX.
She was born on January 31, 1941 to Rafael and Leonarda Chapa.
She was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Gomez.
Survivors include one daughter, Rosa Maria Gomez of Kingsville; four sons, Raul (Anna) Gomez of Kingsville, Ruben (Enedina) Gomez of Kingsville, Fred (Jackie) Gomez of Kingsville, and Frank (Rachel) Gomez of Kingsville; two sisters, Aurora Ramirez of McAllen, and Celeste Zarate of Edinburg; two brothers, Rogelio Chapa of McAllen, and Rodolfo Chapa of San Juan, TX; twenty grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wed., Oct. 16, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be held on Wed., Oct. 16, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thurs., Oct. 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Romeo Salinas officiating.
Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
