Jose Martin Vela, 62, a resident of Kingsville, Texas passed away January 29, 2019 in Kingsville, Texas.
He was born on August 26, 1956 in Kingsville, TX to Enrique and Margarita Vela.
He was formerly employed with Ford in the paint and body department. He was also a known musician with Conjunto Vela.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ruben Vela and Juan Vela Sr.; and one sister, Hermelinda Olivarez.
Survivors include his children, Issac Muniz of Kingsville, Lisa Cortez of Kingsville, JoAnna Muniz of Kingsville, JoLinda (David Jr.) Calderon of Kingsville, Iris Herrera of Annaville, Fabian Lerma of Kingsville, Yvette Lerma of Kingsville, Lamar Lerma of Kingsville, Regina (Rene) Baez of Kingsville, and Jessica Gonzales of Kingsville; one sister, Lupita Cruz of Taft; and one brother, Enrique Vela Jr. of La Mesa.
Visitation will be held on Fri., 02-01-2019 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Religious Service will be held on Fri., 02-01-2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sat., 02-02-2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
Burial will follow with Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
