Jose Adan “Pepe” Riojas, 50, of Houston, Texas, passed away on October 23, 2026, in Houston. He was born on November 27, 1975, in Kingsville, Texas to Joe and Rosanna Riojas.

Pepe was a very family-oriented man. He enjoyed doing electrical work throughout Corpus Christi and the surrounding areas. His favorite hangout spot was the comfort of his own home, in his garage, where he enjoyed lighting up the BBQ pit, listening to his favorite music, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Pepe was a father figure to all his nieces and nephews, and a great mentor to his friends and colleagues.

He was preceded in death by his brother, LeRoy Riojas.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 32 years, Ida E. Riojas of Houston; his father, Alfredo Gutierrez; his daughter, Marissa A. Hernandez of Houston; four sons, Carlos Diaz, Jose Adan Riojas Jr., Israel Riojas, and JoAngel Riojas, all of Houston; his beloved grandchildren, Nevaeh, Elias, Arianna, JoAngel Jr., Illianna, Josiah, Madeleine, Jose, Damian, Isabella, and Mariah; two sisters, Stephanie Riojas and April Ortiz; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 p.m. at St. Martin’s Catholic Church, with Father Alfredo Villarreal officiating.

Cremation will follow, with a private memorial service to be held at a later date.
