Jose F. Ramos, 73, of Kingsville, Texas, passed away on November 25, 2025, in Kingsville. He was born on October 4, 1952, in Vernon, Texas, to Atilano and Guadalupe Ramos.

Jose proudly served his country as a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran aboard the USS John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier. After his military service, he dedicated many years of hard work to the Kingsville Independent School District and the City of Kingsville before retiring.

He was a man who loved life and the people around him. Jose enjoyed spending time with family and friends, attending football games, traveling, going to casinos and bingo, and sharing good times. He especially loved singing and bringing joy and laughter wherever he went.

He is survived by his sister, Clarita (Domador) Patel of Houston; his brother, Hector Ramos of San Diego, California; his aunt, Elida (Jesus) Salinas; his close cousin, Elda R. Flores; and dear friends Rocky (Lupita) Ortiz, Roberto Silguero, and Ramon Chavez.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 1, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 p.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church with Father Alfredo Villarreal officiating. Interment will take place at San Diego Cemetery.
